There are several necessary steps required to change the AA Language, please read this article carefully.
Create Your Auto-Attendants
Specific Extensions will be required when creating the Auto-Attendants used to change languages. Calls will start on English by Default. Once a language is changed in an Auto-Attendant it will remain changed for the remainder of the call (such as forwarding to a different AA, or Voicemail).
Select a Language AA
In AA’s where a language selection is offered in the first prompt, you can use any extension. Please note: To Change the Language, you must point to the routing user as shown later in this article.
To Change Language to English the AA Extension Number must be 02020203.
To Change the Language to Spanish, the AA Extension Number must be 02020204.
To Change the Language to French, the AA Extension Number must be 02020205.
Setup Routing Users
A Routing User is required to change the Language of the Auto-Attendant.
Setup Dial Translations
Once the routing User is setup, go to the Profile Page and change the Dial Translation to one of the following.
- SetLanguageEN - English (US)
- SetLanguageES - Spanish (Mexico)
- SetLanguageFR - French (Canadian)
On the Routing User you will need to setup a “Forward Always” rule. These rules are Case and Character Sensitive. Do NOT route directly to the Auto-Attendant (02020203, etc.) this forwarding rule is required to change the Language.
- The English_AA will always route to Auto-Attendant 02020203.
- The Spanish_AA will always route to Auto-Attendant 02020204.
- The French_AA will always route to Auto-Attendant 02020205.
